Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is a service that allows patrons of one library the privilege to borrow books, DVDs, etc. and/or receive photocopies of documents owned by another library.
This library service is free to BHSU and BHSU/RC students, faculty and staff. We do not place requests for community patrons. Community patrons are encouraged to contact Grace Balloch Memorial Library or their local public library for Interlibrary Loan assistance.
Before submitting a potential Interlibrary Loan request, double-check that your material isn’t already accessible through the online catalog and provided by BHSU.
After determining that the item is not available in BHSU’s collection, please sign into your library account. To request an item from any public South Dakota University library, search all SDBOR Libraries in Primo, and submit a Resource Sharing Request for the item.
To request an item not found in any public South Dakota University library, submit a request with the needed information.
Please allow between 7-10 days for your physical material to arrive at the library. You will be notified of its arrival through your BHSU email; materials sent electronically will be sent directly to your BHSU email account. Physical items will be placed at the Information Desk for pickup at earliest convenience during regular library hours.
