Educational Benefits

Black Hills State University accepts up to 30 credit hours of non-traditional coursework and training from sources such as DANTES and ACE Credits. Our team will work with you to evaluate your transcript and apply eligible credits toward your chosen program.

DANTES/DSST Credit by Examination

The Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support (DANTES) program allows students to receive college credit for learning acquired outside the traditional classroom. BHSU administers DSST exams year-round in the Office for Academic Success.
